Slack

Slack is a cross-platform, instant messaging tool that can contain all of your team’s communication in one place.

Blossom’s Slack integration allows important events in Blossom to be sent as real-time project updates directly to your Slack channels.

If you want to connect Slack with Blossom, just follow the steps in this short video, or see below:

  1. When in a channel, click the drop down arrow to the right of the channel’s name
  2. Select the “Add a service integration…” option, which will open up a Slack page in your browser
  3. Click the “+ Blossom” button
  4. Select the channel in which you want your notifications to be posted in the dropdown
  5. Click the “Add Blossom integration” button
  6. Expand the “Setup Instructions” to find the “Slack Webhook URL” and copy this
  7. Go into a Blossom project and click “Project Settings”
  8. Select the “Slack” integration option
  9. Paste the ““Slack Webhook URL” from Step 6 in the “Your Slack Webhook URL” section
  10. Click the checkbox next to “Connect to Slack”
  11. Click the “View Preferences” button to control what notifications get sent to your Slack Channel

HipChat

HipChat is a simple group chat & instant messaging service for teams.

Blossom’s HipChat integration allows you to connect your Blossom projects to HipChat rooms to receive real-time project updates directly inside of HipChat.

If you want to connect HipChat with Blossom, just follow the steps below (or check out our blog post):

  1. Open the settings drop down in the Blossom project which you want to connect to your HipChat room
  2. Fill in your HipChat auth token and the HipChat room name or ID that you want to connect to. If you are a HipChat group admin you can create a notification auth token at http://hipchat.com/admin/api
  3. Connect your project to HipChat and you are good to go. You will see a confirmation message posted to your room soon afterwards

Flowdock

Flowdock is a team collaboration app that includes group chat and a team inbox.

Blossom’s Flowdock integration allows you to connect your Blossom projects to Flowdock Flows to receive real-time project updates directly inside of Flowdock..

If you want to connect Flowdock with Blossom, just follow the steps below (or check out our blog post):

  1. Go to https://www.flowdock.com/account/tokens
  2. Find your token in the section “Flow API tokens” and copy this
  3. Go into a Blossom project and click “Project Settings”
  4. Paste the API token from Step 2 into the “API Token” input
  5. Click “Connect to Flowdock”

GitHub Branches

If you want to connect GitHub with Blossom, just follow the steps below:

  1. Go into a Blossom project and click “Project Settings”
  2. Select the “GitHub” integration option
  3. Click the “Connect to GitHub” button to get redirected to Blossom’s Application Authorization page at github.com
  4. As soon as your GitHub account is successfully connected you can choose the GitHub Repositories you want to connect with your Blossom Project
  5. Create a new Branch in your Repository and add it to an associated card by clicking “Add Branch …” in the GitHub Widget of the card. Choose & select your newly created Branch from the dropdown list and you are all set to enjoy all GitHub integration features with your team.
  6. As soon as a Branch is connected to a card we automatically pull activity on GitHub into it, so you don’t have to manually update your coding progress all the time to keep everyone in your team in the loop.

You’ll see at a glance what’s going on in a specific branch, for example:

  • When the last commit was
  • How many commits have been made
  • How many files changed
  • Who is working on it
  • What the Pull Request status is
